As a motorway concession operator, Cofiroute is seeking to tackle the challenges of sustainable mobility by applying the principles of the eco-motorway:
• a safe motorway;
• a user-friendly motorway;
• an environment-friendly motorway.
Protecting the environment: a top priority
As part of its programme to improve quality and safety, Cofiroute is gradually deploying an environmental management system, which draws on ISO 14001 standards and is based on the following principles:
• compliance with regulations;
• continuous improvement of its environmental performance;
• prevention of all forms of pollution.
Our commitments
In our daily operations and when carrying out roadworks on our network, we commit to:
• implementing appropriate solutions to reduce the impact of our business, especially in terms of noise, air quality and biodiversity;
• protecting natural resources, with a special focus on water quality;
• reducing our energy consumption;
• optimising waste management and providing facilities for selective waste sorting in our rest areas;
• raising the awareness of customers so that they behave in a safer and more environment-friendly way;
• rallying our partners so that they participate in the application of the eco-motorway principles in their daily operations.
