Cofiroute is committed to ensuring access to its network for people with disabilities:
• Cofiroute is improving the road marking of parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.
• When building or refurbishing rest areas, Cofiroute pays special attention to ensuring accessibility to all infrastructure and services.
• Total has installed Handibip in most of the service stations on Cofiroute’s network. This system enables you to alert personnel of your arrival. The Total service stations on Cofiroute’s network equipped with this system are:
In direction of Paris
• Francheville service area,
• Orléans-Saran service area,
• Sainte-Maure de Touraine service area (on the A10),
• Brou-Frazé service area (on the A11),
• Bourges-Sainte-Thorette service area (on the A71).
In direction of the provinces,
• Tours-Val-de-Loire service area,
• Limours-Briis-sous-Forges service area (on the A10),
• Varades-La Bédoire service area,
• Sarthe-Sargé-Le Mans service area (on the A11),
• Salbris-La Loge service area (on the A71).
In case of breakdown or accident, if your vehicle is parked on the hard shoulder but you cannot get out of it, call the Cofiroute call centre +33 969 39 26 34 (English speaking, no premium-rate number, available daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.). During another time slot, dial 112 (European Union emergency telephone number).
In case of a problem at the toll station, press the call button (“appel”) to talk to a remote attendant.
Cofiroute and the Garches Foundation
Backed by the French ministry in charge of research, Cofiroute has supported the creation of a scientific foundation that focuses entirely on disabilities. The Garches Foundation, recognised by the government as being of public interest on 10 May 2005, independence and reintegration of people with disabilities. Cofiroute, a founder member of the Garches Foundation, works closely with the foundation’s management to design measures and programmes to ensure that everyone has the best possible access to its network.
