Toll Management
Cofiroute manages more than 560,000 transactions a day over the world and in particular:
- Ensures a secure collection of toll revenues ;
- Brings an expertise in all toll systems, manual, automatic and ETC (DSRC and GPS/GSM).
Traffic Management
Cofiroute is pioneering in the traffic management field and in particular:
- Management of roadworks, accidents and breakdowns ;
- Management of queues at toll stations ;
- Congestion pricing system in order to optimise the capacity of the facility under operation: regular revision of tariff grids or real time variable tolls.
Maintenance and Safety
Cofiroute operates its motorways:
- Maintenance of the lanes, structures and equipment such as bridges, toll stations, water retention ponds, wildlife crossings, weather stations, emergency call boxes… ;
- Round-the-clock safety: an effective programme of risk prevention, road agent training and partnerships with local authorities and emergency services, surveillance and incident teams (patrols, cameras, vehicle counting systems) and information services ;
- Serviceability, in particular Winter maintenance.
Asset Management
In France, Cofiroute manages 28 million sqm of pavement, 1,300 bridges, 2,600 hydraulic structures and more than 10,000 equipments (toll, traffic management, safety, telecom, etc.).
The continuous surveillance and the accurate knowledge of these assets is the key to an optimised management:
- Document management systems and databases, drawings, technical documents, network and asset description, inspection sheets ;
- Surveillance ad inspection procedures ;
- A sound planning of maintenance works.
Customer Management
In 2005, Cofiroute was the first French Motorway company to launch its customer charter with commitments on safety and comfort as priorities:
- Forward an accurate and immediate information: FM radio, variable message signs, SMS ;
- Accompany customers during their trip : service and rest areas, Customer Service Centers and call centers ;
- Optimise their travel time ;
- Provide them with dedicated professionals all along the network and as soon as possible.
